Once things started to lock in, I'd do the "convert to audio" drag out of Maschine. That said, when I was trying to work with it, I'd use the plugin and compose my drum parts there running in tandem with S1. My system is a folder track (assigned to its own bus), with 8 instrument tracks routed to Maschine's first 8 groups (the track inputs and outputs all receive their own Maschine group output).
